Packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Clients receiving package rates will receive superbills reflecting the exact prorated amount paid per session for out-of-network insurance submission. Insurance providers rarely cover couples counseling unless a specific mental health diagnosis is assigned to one partner. When issuing superbills for packages,  each superbill will reflect the exact prorated per-session amount paid. Couples therapy typically starts with an intake or relational assessment (often 90 minutes or split individual history sessions).  The initial 90-minute intake ($200) is billed separately before starting a package. If a couple disengages from therapy early, any unused sessions are non-refundable.
